SporeSat

SporeSat is an autonomous, free-flying three-unit (3U) spacecraft that will be used to conduct scientific experiments to gain a deeper knowledge of the mechanisms of plant cell gravity sensing. SporeSat was developed through a partnership between NASA’s Ames Research Center and the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Purdue University.

Metis is providing systems engineering expertise for the SporeSat mission. This mission is in early development. We are currently supporting spacecraft test and integration planning efforts, and laboratory preparation tasks including equipment requisitions, and tracking hardware configurations. Metis will support flight readiness efforts during 2015.
