
Metis Technology Solutions Inc. announced its role as a key team member on the NASA Wallops Range Contract (WRC), recently awarded to prime contractor ARES Technical Service Corporation of McLean, Virginia. Metis joins a highly qualified team supporting critical mission operations as NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. The Wallops Range Contract has a potential value of up to $339.8 million over a performance period of up to five years with an expected start date of July 1 st , 2026. The contract provides essential range and mission support services, including radar tracking, telemetry, communications, logistics, and information technology systems, enabling a wide variety of launch activities such as rockets, satellites, balloons, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Under this contract, Metis will contribute expertise in aerospace engineering, data analysis, and mission support, helping ensure safe, reliable, and efficient range operations. This award builds on Metis’s established history supporting NASA and reflects the company’s continued commitment to advancing space exploration, scientific research, and national security missions. Metis will also leverage our extensive experience in range safety operations, complemented by our proven Pad Safety Support expertise, providing critical oversight of hazardous and safety-critical operations at launch pads for the U.S. Space Force, DoD, NASA, and commercial partners.
