Vice President, Defense Sector
Cari brings over 26 years of marketing, capture management, business development, contract management, project/program management, operations management, and executive-level leadership experience in the Defense Industry and private sector. Her background includes leading teams in the areas of Program Management (PM), Modeling & Simulation (M&S), Test and Evaluation (T&E), Systems Engineering (SE), and software architecture support services for DoD, NASA, DHS, and commercial customers. She consistently plays a pivotal role in implementing best practices and efficiencies across all business office areas including contract administration, Human Resources (HR), recruiting, project control, and security.
Ms. Smiley also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leading due diligence efforts and successfully transitioning 100% of the workforce from the acquired company. Her leadership also extends to process improvement management, including software quality assurance, where she led efforts to achieve and maintain AS9100C and ISO 9001:2015 certifications.
