Farid ‘Fred’ Miandoab is the Program Manager for the Simulation and Aircraft Services (SAS) Task Order at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. As SAS PM, he leads a dedicated team of professionals focused on aviation and space flight simulation.

Prior to joining Metis, Dr. Miandoab worked as the Program Manager for SAIC and UNISYS leading the same NASA program. He has over 30 years of technical and management experience gained working for leading multinational companies. He is a mechanical engineer by training, and a Six Sigma Green Belt. He has received BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University, and his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis in Aerodynamics from Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia. In addition to extensive program management experience, Dr. Miandoab has technical expertise in gas dynamics, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
