Kari Gonter Reelected Ames Contractor Council President

Kari Gonter, Metis Technology Solutions’ Aviation Safety Manager and site lead on the Aviation Safety Reporting System (ASRS) contract at NASA Ames Research Center (ARC), has been reelected as President of the Ames Contractor Council (ACC). The ACC, which draws its members from site managers working on ARC support service contracts, is an inter-corporation collaborative organization that seeks to improve the quality of contractors’ services and products for the benefit of ARC projects. This will be Kari’s third term as ACC president, a position he has held since 2020.

“I am honored that my ACC colleagues have selected me to serve as ACC President for another term,” said Kari. “The ACC provides an important venue for contractors at ARC to interface and work collaboratively with each other and our NASA customers. I look forward to continuing to develop these crucial relationships during my upcoming term as president.”

In addition to increasing interaction among contractors and NASA Ames officials, the ACC also facilitates small business outreach events, gives awards to individuals for outstanding service, and provides grants to local charitable organizations. Metis currently supports a variety of contracts at ARC, including serving as the managing partner of the Metis Flight Research Associates (MFRA) joint venture that is the prime contractor on the Technical Services for Aerospace Systems Modeling and Simulation (SimLabs) III contract. Metis has been recognized by ARC for superior services, winning the research center’s Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year award in 2019, and Small Business Subcontractor of the Year award in 2020.
