Albuquerque, NM – Metis Technology Solutions has been issued a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark office for their STIGAssist cyber security tool. STIGAssist is an award-winning software technology that satisfies Risk Management Framework goals mandated by defense cybersecurity operations through an automated tool that assesses, remediates, and reports cybersecurity vulnerabilities. The value of STIGAssist has been proven on previous Department of Defense (DoD) contracts where it reduced the completion period of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance checks by over 600 times.
“I am very pleased that the U.S. Patent Office has recognized the unique qualities of our STIGAssist tool,” said Dr. Joy Colucci, CEO and Owner of Metis. “This patent strengthens our intellectual property position and will more easily allow customers to access the mission-improving capabilities of STIGAssist.”
STIGAssist is the second patent awarded to Metis since 2018, a significant milestone for the rapidly growing aerospace technology company. STIGAssist is one of many tools and services Metis provides to their DoD and NASA customers to improve cyber security on critical Government missions. Current Metis cyber security experience includes work performed as a subcontractor on Lockheed Martin’s U.S. Air Force Combined Orbital Operations Logistics and Resiliency (COOLR) contract, and on Peraton’s NASA Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract.
