Metis Continues Support of NASA Deep Space Network

Following Peraton’s successful recompete for the Deep Space Network (DSN) Maintenance and Operations (DSN M&O) contract at Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), Metis is set to continue its role as a prominent subcontractor on the mission. DSN facilitates communication between ground stations on Earth and NASA spacecrafts traveling through deep space. Metis has supported DSN as a subcontractor to Peraton since 2013, providing network operations analysis and network scheduling expertise as well as program infrastructure support.

“Congratulations to our prime partner Peraton and the Metis personnel who support the DSN mission,” said Brian Eslinger, Metis VP of Space Programs. “Metis employees working on DSN consistently rise to meet the complex challenges of the mission, often exceeding expectations. We look forward to continuing to provide that exceptional level of support to Peraton and JPL.”

DSN M&O is a 10-year contract worth up to $435M. Metis has been a subcontractor on DSN since 2013. Metis has supported the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), as well as missions to the moon, Mars, and asteroids in support of NASA and international research exploration.  With the DSN win, Metis will continue to support more exciting exploration missions to the moon, Mars, and other planetary bodies.
