Under the Technical Services for Aerospace Systems Modeling and Simulation (SimLabs) III contract at NASA Ames Research Center, Metis simulation engineers hosted the ARCTIC3 simulation using the Center’s Vertical Motion Simulator. The NASA Honor Award recognizes the team’s demonstrated exceptional technical skills, unwavering real-time performance and functionality, reliability, and integrity, and exceeding expectations to ensure that the simulation parts were stable, robust, and functional.

“The ARCTIC3 team worked above and beyond the call-of-duty to ensure that all parts of the simulation were stable, robust, and functional to support the experiment,” said SimLabs III Program Manager Neil Otto. “I’m proud of our team who produced outstanding work, receiving a perfect score from their Army customers.”
