For the seventh straight year, Metis Technology Solutions has been awarded a New Mexico Flying 40 Award. The Flying 40 Awards recognize fast rising New Mexico-owned and operated technology companies who help diversify the local economy and spur development in the state. This year, Metis received an award in the category of Top 10 Firms with $7.5 to $23 Million Revenue in 2022.
“We are honored to receive our seventh consecutive Flying 40 Award,” said Dr. Joy Colucci, CEO and Owner of Metis. “Our continued corporate success, including this award, is a direct reflection of our employees’ talent and dedication. Their skills and determination have enabled Metis to continue to grow in an ultra-competitive environment and provide exceptional services to our customers.”
In 2022, Metis experienced several significant successes that contributed to winning the award: Metis Technology Partners, Metis’s Joint Venture with Axient, was awarded the United States Space Force launchpad safety contract based out of Cape Canaveral, Florida; Metis won a Phase II NASA Small Business Innovative Research Grant to develop mapping software for autonomous robots; and Metis was a major team member on prime partner Jacob’s successful NASA Ames facility operations and maintenance recompete proposal.
Metis personnel will receive the award at a ceremony on September 8. The ceremony is occurring as part of the New Mexico Tech Summit held at the Albuquerque Convention Center. 2023 is the first year that the Flying 40 Awards are organized by the New Mexico Tech Council.
