Metis Awarded Fifth Consecutive HIRE Vets Medallion

Metis Technology Solutions (Metis) has been awarded a HIRE Vets Medallion for the fifth consecutive year. Metis was among the companies recognized by U.S. Secretary of Labor Martin J. Walsh during a virtual award ceremony presented by the U.S. Department of Labor. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans. Metis is one of very few companies nationwide to receive the recognition during all five years of its existence, a notable accomplishment given the high standards that must be met to win the award. Metis was awarded a Platinum medallion in 2022, the highest level of recognition awarded by the HIRE Vets program.

“It is an honor for Metis to be recognized by the Department of Labor with a HIRE Vets Medallion for the fifth consecutive year,” said Josh Puglise, VP of Business Operations and Chief Financial Officer of Metis. “Metis values the current and past contributions of our veteran community. Veteran hiring, retention, and professional development are highly important to Metis, and this year’s award demonstrates our continued commitment to veterans.”

Recipients of the 2022 HIRE Vets Medallion Award meet rigorous employment and veteran integration assistance criteria, including veteran hiring and retention percentages; availability of veteran-specific resources; leadership programming for veterans; dedicated human resource efforts; pay compensation and tuition assistance programs for veterans.

The 2022 Hire Vets Medallion is one of several recent hiring and employment awards for Metis. Earlier this year, Metis was named the 2022 Gold Stevie® Winner for Achievement in Diversity and Inclusion (D&I). Metis has also won four straight Family Friendly New Mexico awards which recognize and support employers for adopting and implementing family friendly policies.
